Since installing Win 7 SP1 I've had an issue with my Touch. I don't think this is the firewall issue others have seen.
Normally I select 'Album Mix' and just let it pick something. Since SP1 however all it does is beep twice. Restarting the service will cure the problem but that's a pain. I can also use the web interface to create a playlist then start it playing. After that Album Mix works as well.
When it start to play it runs for a few seconds then stops. Then continues without interruption.
How can I go about diagnosing this? I've tried looking at the logs but they don't seem to be logging anything.

I've attached part of my log files. I've apparently been getting a lot of errors since last November.

You could always try the firewall rule changes, if it does nothing for you it surely won't make things any worse. I had the problems on my Duet with both 7.5.3 and 7.5.2. One of my symptoms while I was tweaking the firewall was it would start playing and then the receiver would lose the connection to the server.

Interesting idea.
Looking back at what I changed recently one thing springs to mind - rescanning the library. Earlier this week I changed the nightly scan from 'New and changed' to 'Clear library and rescan everything'. I've put that setting back and this morning at least it was fine.
As for the log files I don't know. Since it's been doing that since November it may be unimportant. I think that was when I upgraded to 7.5.3 but i don't look at the logs normally so perhaps it's always done that.
Considering how many years I've been using SBS (I've only recently replaced my Slim Devices SB3 with a Touch) I suppose I shouldn't begrudge a few issues after all this time

Guess I should have looked more carefully on the forum. I think my issue is covered by this thread:
