Wish list

I would like to have:
1. Possibility to play random from "New Music"
2. Possibility to play random from newly added music per definition
3. Possibility to play random in:
a) genres, b) years, c) any other category per tag

Or are thare any plugins that can do this?

See Erland's plugins, especially SQL Playlist and Dynamic Playlist. You can also do #3 without plugins by using shuffle mode, but shuffle is very inefficient if you're trying to randomize hundreds of tracks.

EDIT: On second thought I'm not sure if those plugins can access the file modification time, which is what SBS uses to define "new music". It may be able to, I'm just not sure. And on third thought (sorry, caffeine deficit this AM), you may be able to do #1 with shuffle mode alone, albeit inefficiently. Try turning on shuffle mode, then getting "New Music" as the active menu item and pressing "Play". I'd try it myself but my SB isn't nearby.
