    IDV3 output to scrolling marquee

    Hi,

Not being at all familiar with the SlimDevices software, I'm wondering
if there might be some way to output the Artist - Track Title tag info
of the song now playing to an external, scrolling marquee sign such as
    one of these: (http://www.adaptivedisplays.com/Pages/a_one.htm). The
signs themselves can now be configured with their own unique IP address,
and can accept an input signal via both cabled Ethernet and wireless.
The question then becomes, is it possible to separate and route the
desired tag info to the sign via the SlimDevices software?

P.S. This is the *only* thing stopping me from making my purchase today.

The slimserver command line interface supports getting those tags and
more from the currently playing song. This is a simple TCP socket
    interface.

I took a quick look at the software documentation for those signs and
it's not obvious how you would interface the two. Someone with more
Windows coding knowledge may be able to help out here.

You could probably come up with a slimserver plugin of some kind to
    drive the display...

Might need to do some snooping first. I didn't see any programming docs
on that website. There are references to some Windows software that
drives the signs, but nothing about protocols. Ethereal, anyone?

    Look at http://www.ams-i.com/Media/97088061.pdf
(You might want to keep a well-sealed two-liter plastic bag or other
disposable container handy, but it's not too egregious.)
