    Changing firmware

    Hi
I've got a problem and it's driving me nuts. Running sbs-7.5.1 on a Qnap TS-110 Nas.

Playing music from the library works fine but when I change to Internet radio, I can only get "Staff picks". All the others, Local, Music, World and Search, all get the error message, "Connect timed out:Transport endpoint is not connected". Now, if I change to Mysqueezebox.com, the firmware is upgraded top 52 and the Internet radio plays as it should. If I then change back to sbs the firmware is "upgraded to 50 and then the library is accessable again, but not the internet radio. And so it goes on!

Any ides whats happening here? There are no other servers running on any PC's.

    Thanks

SBS on your NAS and MySB.com online are both servers and each server is at a different firmware version, your SBS is 7.5.1 and MySB is 7.5.3.
So each time your player connects to either server it first checks to see if a different firmware version is available, then installs it.
    Your options are:

    1. Update your SBS version to 7.5.3
    2. Don't switch servers (see below)
    3. Keep switching and keep updating each time

Your NAS may have some sort of DNS issue causing online streaming playback issues. Also your SBS may be loading before your NAS has completely gone through it's network configuration.
Try stopping then restarting SBS (just SBS, not your NAS itself) and see if you can then fully use online streaming through SBS.

Ok Thanks, I'll try and update SBS, not sure how though, it's installed form Qnap as a .qpkg, not a tar file. I'll also try the stop start idea. Not sure about the DNS, everything else works fine, but I'll check it out anyway.
i'm away for about a week, so I'll try it when I get back.
