I have been using the 3rd party Spotify plugin for a while. But then the official plugin came along and installed that instead. Unfortunately that dosn't work with Squeezeplay and now I wish to go back to the 3rd party plugin. But no matter what I do, it is simply not working.
I have removed and re-installed sbs about 5 times now. Trying different versions every time. What happens is after a install the Spotify official is active. I de-activate the official plugin, restarts the sbs and find the 3rd party plugin. After selecting the 3rd party plugin and restarting sbs I got this message that a update for the 3rd party plugin is available. But no matter what I do, it won't update, and it remains inactive due to the failed update, and therefore it is not possible to find in the plugins menu.
Bah! Any ideas?

Yes I have, several times. As well as deleted all the content of folders after an uninstall. To make matters worse the official plugin, which I have been using on my SB Radio have also stopped working. Whenever I try to play a song I just get an error message saying that it is unable to play the song.
Thanks for the quick response.

Hi.
Just did and Spotify (official) is back, with two icons on my main screen, as well as two facebook icons. No matter, they both work.
I have now uninstalled the Spotify (official) from the plugin list and restarted the server. I have found the 3rd party Spotify plugin, installed it and restarted the server.
And it works! I guess my mistake was not to clear settings and cache before re-installing the plugin.
Thanks a lot!

Thx.
I did, but unfortunately it corrupted my Squeezebox install.
I think I'll just have to remove and reinstall the package :/

I have the same problem. My LMS runs on a QNAP server. Where are the preference files located so i can delete them?
