Custom Alarm Window not working anymore!

Hi to all SB Radio owners who used the great Custom Alarm Window Patch by Erland.
Does anyone of you also have the problem that the patch stopped working some 7.5.3 / 7.5.4 Nightly Build versions of SbS ago?

It seems that Logitech changed the standard alarm window so that Erlands great patch does not work anymore.
Even re-install does not help.

Due to this issue I cannot see what time it is when I wake up in the morning because I'm short sighted.
When the patch was still working I used the "Classic Clock" design which had bigger numbers and was easier to read without my glasses...

Is there a fix?

Which firmware version do you have (Settings/Advanced/About) ?
I'm using 7.5.3 r9283 and it seems to still work on my Radio.

I have SBS 7.5.4 r31845

Is the patch available in the "Patch Installer" list ?
Does the patch fail to install or does it just not work after the installation ?
Is it checked in "Patch Installer" after you have rebooted the Radio after it has been installed ?

On my SB Radio I also have Firmware 7.5.3 r9283.
I'm running SBS 7.5.4 r31858 but the issue already appeared some SbS Nightlies earlier.

I can install the patch from the patch list as usual, then a reboot and afterwards it is checked in the patch list. Anything fine so far and as it always was before.
But when the alarm starts, now just the default alarm screen is shown instead of the one I configured from within the custom alarm window patch...

Strange somehow.

Where do you configure the alarm screen ?
I'm doing it through "Settings/Screen/Screensavers/Custom Clock Settings/When alarm".

Are you using my "Alarm Savers" applet to configure the alarm screen through "Settings/Screen/Alarm screensavers" ?
Maybe it's the "Alarm Savers" applet is broken ?

If you are doing it through "Alarm Savers" applet, I suggest that you try installing "Custom Clock" applet and instead configure an alarm screen through that. The "Custom Clock" applet have a lot of clock styles so if you just want a clock, you can probably find a style you like.

This is exactly how I always configure it and how it always worked fine before...
I already re-installed Patch Installer and afterwards Custom Alarm Window Patch and then Custom Clock, re-configured everyting, rebooted, but that procedure also didn't help.

What should I try next?

Strange, are you able to login via ssh and look in the log files of the Radio to see if there is any error ?
The log is in /var/log/messages

Does the Custom Clock applet work at all ? For example, can you use it for normal screen saver ?
