Hi,
I'm currently thinking of purchasing a Squeezebox Receiver. On internet I've read that it's possible to set up the receiver without the remote control from the Duet. Instead of the remote control I'd like to use any of the Android Apps available. But it's essential for me that streaming from Napster is possible (I've got a subscription). I've tried it with the Softsqueeze software installed on my computer (Mac) connected to mysqueezebox.com. But it kept telling me that it couldn't play (stream) the files from Napster. Will I have the same problem with any Android app?
Thanks in advance,
Greetz,

You won't be able to stream to your phone. Streaming will only be possible
to the Receiver.

Thanks Michael,
that's the point. I want to stream the music to the receiver. Not to the phone. But I want to control it from the phone. Like this:
- SB Receiver connected to home network.
- SB Receiver connected to mysqueezbox.com
- Android phone connected to home network.
- Android phone let's me choose songs from Napster.
- SB Receiver streams the selected songs.
As long as that is possible I'll purchase the receiver. Is it possible?

Yes, playback should be fine. But I don't know about all the Android apps
and what menus they support.

Yeah, that works with SqueezeCommander.
(Probably also with other Android Apps supporting SqueezeBox "Apps".)
If you want to configure the Receiver with your Android phone, take a look at SqueezeConfig:

(See #10 for some limitations with HTC phones.)
