I've just upgraded to "premium" at sky fm and after spending frustreting hours i just can't seem to make it play on the touch. Here's what i'm trying to do with no success [quote from sky fm website] Hardware Players
For hardware players that require adding channels/presets (Sonos, Squeezebox, Roku.. etc), please copy and paste the channel links below to your player's setup to listen to our channels.

Can someone walk me through the procedure?.Thanx .AL.

Playing sky fm premium on touch

I believe that since the Swueezeboxes are dedicated players forSky.fm, it is not necessary to manually copy and paste stations. All that is necessary is to register with Sky.fm, choose the 256kps selection. Then install the Sky.fm app from the App Gallery at mysqueezebox.com by entering your username and then configure. The Sky.fm premium stations will then be yours. I believe that this is correct.

I am not sure what the touch screen says... Sorry. But if you play a Sky.fm station and go to "more information" and see if your bitrate is 256KPSes then you are getting the premium feed. I do not use the touch screen so I do not know if it says "premium" or not. I use mainly ipeng as a controller and there is a notation above the screen indicating Sky.fm premium. All my feeds are 256kps.
One other thing, if you like Sky.fm their sister station is a jazz station called JazzRadio.com. It has some great jazz stations in 192kps. It is a premium station for about $5 / mth. For me it's worth it .
Hope you find out if you're getting the premium feed from Sky.fm.Ikabob

aln....then you are not getting the premium feeds. I do not understand why.I have Sky.fm and it was all automatic. Are you sure your usernames are the same for the app and for your Sky.fm registration? Are your email addresses the same for your mysqueezebox.com registration and for that of Sky.fm?
Maybe someone who has more experteese in this(not hard to find) than I can help you.
PS: I also think I selected "other MP3 player" and "256kps" I know I never had to copy and paste for sky.fm (I did for Jazzradio.com because it was not a Squeezebox dedicated service).Last edited by Ikabob; 2011-01-26 at 10:42.

I've checked the user name thing and tryed "other MP3 player" and "256kps setting" with no results. Funny thing..tryed the more info on linn and some other music site on the touch and found out that many of thoses sites are up in the 300+ for free c'ant belive that i actualy paid money "5 bucks for a mounth" for a poorer service and c'ant even hear it on the touch. At this day and age it should'nt be such an pain to get service from a company that is acctualy charging you money to deliver a product...Gone to bed frustrated. AL.
