Does Duet work with Spotify?

I have just bought the Duet with the main purpose of playing spotify. I asked in the shop whether this would run and they told me it would. But I get an error message saying something as "problem unable to play file type for: spotify:// " Everything else seems to function. So my question is: does Duet work with spotify? If so, what do I have to do?

The official Spotify App will not work on a Duet.
There is a third party plugin that will work with Spotify with a Duet.
