Flac with embedded cue not running

Dear all,

I have SC 7.3.3 running on a Linkstation pro, connected to SB classic. Single FLACS can be played, also FLACS ripped as images and cue files embedded with foobar2000. But the single tracks within image are neither available nor can be skipped. Foobar is able to play single tracks.

Next I have modified flacs mit metaflac (--remove-all) and cue and tags imported again. Single tracks are shown by SB3 as well as with SoftSqueeze, but cannot be played. Log file shows error with "Slim::Player::Song:: open (341) Error: Couldn't create command line for flc playback for [file:///mnt/disk1/..."

SC 7.3.3 installed on WinXP runs perfectly, no problems, neither with SB3 nor with SoftSqueeze with the same files.

I checked "convert.conf" but didn't found anything unusual.

Installed versions on PC and LS are the same, only MySQL is different, 4.1.22 on LS and 5.0.22 on PC. Maybe that makes the difference. Does anybody knows?

Any other ideas? Some hints to check?

EDIT: my further experiences make me sure that it is a trancoding issue. Modifying convert.conf to transcode all flacs shows, that also single track flacs run into that problem. Direct streaming to the SM3 runs perfect. But the question is still the same, why the same system is running on a PC? Problems with horsepower of the LS? On the PC I have found running a task "SOX" for flac-images.

EDIT again: I did found a solution to make the flac/cue files run. I used the custom.convert.conf of Gharris999 from here http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=58747 (a lot of thanks!) and excluded all flc flc transcoding in convert.conf. After stopping and restarting the server, the files can be streamed. And again after rebooting, but only when I did a manual stop/start of S99squeezeceserver. I have no idea why this is needed, the costom-convert.conf is in the same directory as convert.conf, maybe it's not used the first time. But how do i know that?
And another question is open: how I may automatize that workaround procedure at startup?

EDIT and problem solved: I don't know the reason but adding some code into the S99squeezecenter file solved the issue. Details can be found here http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...496#post345496. Thanks to Andy for posting that code.
