Hi,
This is tangentially related to my previous post about losing the functionality for FF, FR and Pause buttons within the Mediafly app on the SBR.
In attempt to work around the above problem, I'm now trying to load several TWIT networks podcasts into the "Podcast Player" app on SBR.
When I paste the URL "http://twit.tv/ww" (for example) into the Podcast Player field for adding new items, and click "add," nothing happens.
I do have Leo Laporte's "The Tech Guy" feed in Podcast Player, but the URL there is: "http://leo.am/podcasts/kfi"--which is obviously not a TWIT URL.
I may be missing something rudimentary here--I'm pretty new to this whole field. Or is there some reason why the SBR's "Podcast Player" app won't work with TWIT?
TIA for any pointers.

The problem is that you're trying to point the Podcast Player app to the webpage for the podcast (with all the graphics, navbar, etc), and not to the actual RSS feed for the podcast (Podcast Player wants either an RSS feed or an actual live stream). To get the feed address, click the "Subscribe to Audio" pulldown menu, then choose "RSS". Copy the address of that new page and paste it into the Podcast Player page (for WW, it would be http://leoville.tv/podcasts/ww.xml).
BTW, the URL for The Tech Guy that you posted gets redirected to http://leoville.tv/podcasts/kfi.xml, which as you'll notice is the exact same format as the other TWiT RSS feeds.Last edited by Pugnax555; 2010-12-04 at 05:29.

Got it! Thanks for the help. I just added TWIG and deleted the redirection to KFI and added TTG and all is well. AND, I can now use the fast forward, pause, and fast rewind buttons that don't work in the Mediafly app (that's another problem).
I'm definitely a newbie, but without your direction there's no way I would have figured this out from the TWIT website--well maybe if I dug around in the FAQ or something.
I have another question now--is there any way to delete some of the older podcasts in the Podcast Player app? Or do older podcasts roll off the queue after a certain amount of time? Not a real big problem, but there seem to be a lot of them available and it would be simpler to just keep the latest 2 or 3--for me at least. I like the Mediafly "channels" which seem to automatically update to the latest podcast as soon as its available.
Or maybe there's a better/more flexible podcast management app that works with the SBR?
Again--thanks for the help.----------------------------
