    Slimp3 - dead / any user serviceable parts ???

    Hi

Small or large issue for me - yesterday while playing internet radio (
for some 3 hours plus ) my Slimp3 emitted a sound like "grrrack" & stop
playing. Even worse - the display went blank & the server software
decided it couldn't detect the Slimp3

First off i suspected the power supply - but on closer observation, my
router / hub still detects the Slimp3. Confirmed this by unplugging the
    network cable & power supply.

Since I am in Singapore, and have had my Slimp3 since Dec 02, don't
think its covered by any warrenty :-) - so, is there anything like a
fuse etc that may have blown in the Slimp3. I missed it a lot :-(
Softsqueeze is really neat, but laptop speakers don't compete with the
    real thing

    Cheers

Most Noritake VFD's have a fuse, I replaced one once. Noritake can
tell you the repalcement part if you think it is that.

The Slimp3 used a hd44780 compatible display... so you can download
some software to test the display itself, it may still be good.
