Mississipi John hurt, the man from Avalon
excellent !
A bit sad that the sound of an 1930 mono recording is less fatiguing than a new loudness war cd :-/
I could listen to those all day , not so with some modern stuff ( that I do like musically ).--------------------------------------------------------------------

My favorite guitarist bar none. I recall hearing years ago a comment to the effect that the notes that one does not play are just as important as those one does play. There was a whole crew of people in the late 70's early 80's whose main claim to fame was to play loud and fast hitting as many notes as possible-left me cold and still goes on today.

Emerson Lake & Palmer - Works.
Playing on my turntable I must get around to digitising this for the Touch or see if I can find it on CD. On reflection I will stick with the LP's.Last edited by valeite; 2012-02-18 at 05:53.

Rory Gallagher Irish tour '74. Cradle rock is my new favorite song! What a shame that he didn't rise to the stature of clapton, srv, and hendrix. He certainly had the chops and talent.
His music fits in well with the fact that I'm getting back to playing guitar again. Cradle rock is a blast to play - he was a genius on the guitar.Rich
