This is the very first CD I purchased, along with a version of Beethoven's fifth. 1984, then. 33 years ago.
A beautiful, velvet voice (Sade, not Beethoven).

Do you know that for sure? Have you ever heard Ludwig sing?

    From Wikipedia:
Whitehorse is a Canadian folk rock band composed of husband-and-wife duo Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland. Based in Hamilton, Ontario, Doucet and McClelland were both established singer-songwriters before opting to put their solo careers on hold to work together as Whitehorse.

They're usually identified as a Toronto band, but they live in Hamilton I think, last I heard. Were both once based in Toronto.

Funny that the write-up about them quoted in another post calls them a "folk rock" band. I'd not thought of them that way. No jangly 12 strings, lots of electric. Earlier work had more to do with rockabilly than folk. I think the new album is a fairly natural progression from earlier work, for a band that's still vital and engaged with an evolving audience community.

I quite like this album too. I had a heck of a time ripping it though. It would fail on both my laptops with some type offset failure right off the get go. I then tried it on an old Pioneer DVD-RW 106D drive I had in an old tower I'd turned into a server and it ripped just fine.
