I enjoy listening to Eric Bibb, he's great in every way. I especially like his work when it brings him into serious interaction with other musicians, like Habib Koite and other Africans on "Brothers in Bamako", and American harmonica player Grant Dermody on "Deeper In The Well". Blues People has many other musicians involved, and it's great, but it's not the same as when he is putting a whole album together with the same collaborators.

Eric is an American blues musician who lives in Finland. Hans Theessink is a Dutch blues musician who lives in Veinna, but tours extensively in the US. They have a similar understated style, both excellent guitarists. Theessink's voice is a very pleasant baritone, often harmonized with prominent American bluesman Terry Evans. I especially like Delta Time, a tribute to the delta blues. Ry Cooder takes a turn on slide. I'm listening to it now.

    Steely Dan - Pretzel Logic

Some albums never get old. I still sing along with every song ("...I'm cashing in this ten cent life for another one...")

Great album indeed. Steely Dan has quite a few great albums such as Aja. Another classic album.

Miles Davis - A Tribute To Jack Johnson

Uncut magazine has been one of my favorite birthday presents for some time because it never fails to deliver deeper insight into music I enjoy and provide inspiration for "what to listen to next." And such is the case as I write this: in the November issue John McLaughlin is describing albums he's played on and as I reading about this one I know that I have to put it on for a listen. Born of a riff McLaughlin was playing out of boredom while waiting in the studio, the opening track is funky, bluesy, more rock than jazz.
