Red face Has anyone set up SB server on Synology DS410???

    Hi,
Has anyone on here set up SB server with the DS410.
I have just installed it, and whilst it will stream internet radio perfectly, It will not pick up any files in my music folder, audiostation sees them all perfectly, so it has to be the logitech software. Help!!

I have it on my DS210+, which runs the same OS. In my case it runs without a glitch, so it should work for you too.

Have you tagged your files? Pointed SBS to the right directory? Ran a library scan?

I'm sorry if these questions seem basic, but there must be something strange going on in your case.

Hmm most NAS run linux could be file permissions, I don't know the DS410 .

Btw try "browse music folder" if that does not work it's very likely a file permission issue with the music directory.

You mentioned in an earlier post (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...166#post585166) that you could access the top-level music folder, but what about the sub-folders? That is, the folders for each artist, album, etc. When you go to browse the library using "Music Folder" as suggested by Mnyb, be sure that you can access all the way down to the level of individual tracks.

I have SBS running on my DS210J fine (am using SSDOS at the moment).

This may be obvious - but have you scanned for music in SBS?
Main system: SB Touch, Arcam A85, Mission 733i speakers
SB Classic into old JVC microsystem
    SB Boom, Logitech Z4 subwoofer
    SB Radio
