    7.6 on Samba server problems

    I have been running several tests using 7.6 on my ubuntu server 9.1 which also serves me as a general file server and print queue. My finding is that 7.6, with folder watching enabled, caused the Samba server to become unresponsive. Probably because of the inode monitoring. Reverting back to 7.52 fixes the problem.

    You can also disable folder watching, of course, so you can keep running 7.6.

    Settings->Advanced->Performance->Automatically detect changes: Disabled
