    Sometimes it just plain works...

After tracking delivery of my new White Radio and accessory pack from Logitech all day yesterday, it finally arrived and it is so cute! I took it out of the box, plugged in the battery and it started right up. It took seconds to get on my network and download a firmware update. After a reboot it prompted me to login to mysqueezebox.com and my favorites were there. Have been listening to My Music, Rhapsody and local radio ever since with total joy. The freedom of battery power completely changes the device, IMHO. Thank you Logitech for a great product and a great offer!

Listening to it on the deck right now:
"May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith.
May your hope give us hope
May your love bring us love."

    Baby!

good day Apesbrain, golly gee! what a breath of fresh air you bring to this sub-forum..............

i, like yourself have had the Baby working 'since i purchased it without any "Gremlins" .

mine is the lowly Black one ,but it works fine and sits on my bedside ready and willing for my delectation.

i don't use the Alarm function ,which seems to be the root cause of all the doom laden posts here.

as you have experienced , the battery pack has released the radio into it's new "portable" state;whenever i'm working outside it's always close by...........and gathering some nice interest from neighbours!.

tonight i have given my server a new release by connecting my Sheevaplug/Squeezeboxserver up to an external usb disk containing my flac library.........and finally switching off my old QNAP NAS.

phew! that'll do for now .....

keep on enjoying your music and have fun

    regards

    dennis

    Same experience

We must have bought our Radios at the same time. I too just got mine on Tuesday. I love it. I haven't gotten the battery, but I've been thinking about it. Is it really worth $50 to get the battery? I have no use for the remote I don't think.

I've been quiet so far, but I've been busy digging through the wiki learning about how to begin developing for squeezebox.
