    r9009 solved what?

For me, the r9009 upgrade didn't solve any of the problems my Duet controller is having with connecting to MySB.com. If anything, it's now even worse...

Currently I have to control my player through the remote control on MySB.com in a browser running on my laptop, because the controller shows blue icon and wants me to "Try again". This has been the case all morning.

Diagnostics shows everything fine, correct IP, ping ok, it even claims to be connected to mysqueezebox.com, but at the same time it gives me the blue icon, and pressing favorites just gives me the circles and then prompts me to try again. Power cycling does not help.

Why is so hard for the controller to connect properly to MySB.com?
    My laptop connects immediately.

I find mine is rock solid. A couple of things I've done. First, I have a fixed static IP address (true fixed, not reserved on router). Several ways to do this, but easiest may be to go into your router via GUI, temporarily turn off (un check?) the DHCP assign IP address function. Then go through factory reset on the controller. It will look for IP address, not find one (because router is no longer handing them out), and eventually you can scroll down and select the manually assign IP address. For example, for me, it is

    address: 192.168.001.025
    mask: 255.255.255.000
    dns: 192.168.001.001
    dns: 192.168.001.001
    192.168.1.1 is my router address....

Of course, when done, go back to router and turn DHCP back on....

Second thing is to not have the controller go into deep sleep mode. See this post for setting to use (the menu item for this is somewhat hidden):

Yes, yes, been on static IP since long time, still not working well. And I mainly keep the controller in the dock, so no deep sleep. For me the controller is flaky, and has always been. The player is rock stable though...

still check the sleep settings in that other post. Even sitting in charger, I believe it can still drop into deep sleep. p.s. Although mine works well (actually my wife uses it, I use ipeng), I should note that I do NOT try to use the headphone out of the controller. Never had the need for that.

    Try this:

    1) Get yourself an Android phone and download SqueezeCommander OR
    2) Get yourself an iPod touch and download iPeng

Either is infinitely better than the controller, then..

    3) Go to a window
    4) Open it
    5) Throw the controller as far as humanly possible.

You'll feel better and be much more satisfied. I promise.

Already did. Sadly, SqueezeCommander doesn't work with Triode's Spotify plugin... it's strange, but that's the way it is...

Currently my player is streaming internet radio just fine, connected via MySB.com. This worked great this morning with the controller taken from its cradle. Now, when I am to shutdown the streaming, the controller allows me only to turn on the player, even though it is already on!

Diagnostics show everything fine, connected to MySB.com, ping ok etc etc, but the stupid buggy flaky controller still thinks the player is of and can be turned on. And to fix this I have to power cycle the controller...

This happens practically every day since (at least) 7.5, and 7.5.1 r9009 fixed nothing. Come on Logitech, give us a workable controller.

Power cycling the controller... now it shows corect artwork, and I am able to turn off the player.

I'm not familiar with Triode's Spotify plugin. What does it do?

Note that the Spotify service is not available in all countries.
