Do not want to do firmware upgrade

    Hi

My Touch current firmware is v7.5.1.r8837 which is the same version as the SBS I have in my QNAP NAS.

I turned on Touch and was informed of a new firmware v7.5.1.r9009

Reading a post by another user, he is having issues with the Touch after the firmware upgrade.

I have the Touch working great and the last thing I want is the firmware stuffing me up.

Is there a way to bypass and not install this new firmware? I tried moving around the touch screen but I could not.

Am I forced to update firmware? Why is there not an option to skip the upgrade?

I have commenced ripping about 70 of my 858 CDs and am so far very happy with the Touch and I simply do not want any stuff ups with firmware.

Forgot to ask will the Touch firmware upgrade affect the firmware on the SBS?

    Any suggestions?

    Rgds

I also found my Touch wanting to upgrade yesterday, but pressing the left arrow key on the remote several times brought me back to the home screen and I could just go on as usual without upgrading.
AFAIK the r9009 build only brings improvements for the SB Radio, so I don't know why I should update.

    Cheers

I finally went ahead with the firmware upgrade for my Touch, which mainly runs from SBS running a server in the house. Took only a few minutes and then went right back to playing music with no problems whatsoever that I have noticed so far.
