SB Server not working with iTunes 10!

Just upgraded to iTunes 10. In SB Server, I'm getting "No music library configured." I've tried all of the scans. I've checked all settings. They are all correct. Nothing's changed.

Is this a known issue or is it just me?

    I gotta have my Sqeezebox!!!!!!!!!!

Well there has been another thread about iTunes 10 and people were reporting no problems with Squeezebox integration, so it seems there is something up with your setup.

    I'm sorry I can't help any further.

Does iTunes 10 no longer use the old .xml-library?

I wonder, if the problems are caused by iTunes 10 no longer updating the file 'iTunesMusicLibrary.xml' (as found in '/Users/lofi-hifi/Music/iTunes/', where 'lofi-hifi' is the user's name).
It seems, that Squeezebox Server is looking at exactly this file for building it's own database - please correct me, if I am wrong here.

Could it be that iTunes 10 only updates the file 'iTunes Library Extras.itdb' within the same location as the above mentioned xml?
In practice, all the files within your "old" library will still work, but Squeezebox Server won't get any new files, that have been added to iTunes since the update to iTunes 10.

    What do you think?

    BTW:
I could not find anything useful in thread 'Anyone tested iTunes 10 with SS yet?'.

Is that in fact happening, or are you -asking- if iTunes 10 no longer keeps the XML library file up to date?

    Yes, that's in fact happening.
BTW: I am using a Mac.

I keep all my music files in the folder '/Users/lofi-hifi/Public/Music'.
The files are arranged in subfolders like 'sampler', 'soundtrack' and so on.
This morning I moved some files from one subfolder to another with the finder.
I found that iTunes automatically noticed the changes (when looking at the 'Information' dialog for one of the files moved), i.e. I could see the new path in iTunes.

Then I noticed, that Squeezebox Server (SS) could not play the files anymore and said, they were missing.
So I let SS build the database anew (via 'System Preferences' / 'Squeezebox Server' / 'Search music collection' with option 'Delete database') but then even worse SS couldn't even find the files in question.

So I took a look at 'iTunes Music Library.xml' and found that the files I moved weren't changed there.
I quit iTunes, deleted the 'iTunes Music Library.xml' and started iTunes again, hoping that iTunes would rebuild the xml file.
    But sadly it didn't.

So I restored the backup file I had made of 'iTunes Music Library.xml' and edited it manually: I searched and replaced the paths of all files I had moved.
Then I started iTunes again and let Squeezebox Server build it's database anew.
This time - sesame open - SS found the files and was able to play them.

This is why I figured that iTunes behaviour may have changed with version 10.

    Not much help

Although this is not of much help to you (sorry), it does highlight the problems of using iTunes (or any other third-party app) to manage the database used by SB Server rather than let SB manage its own. When the third-party app (in this case iTunes) is altered the it can break anything else using it.
Before I saw the light and moved to the Duet I had a Roku and used iTunes integration with that. Just about every new version of iTunes meant no music until Roku made the required changes to their system.
Best solution is not to use the iTunes integration.
