You programmers are morons. This device is supposed to be a radio with music selections, a volume control, and an on/off switch. Its supposed to sit on the table and work and not require any attention.
But every time you push an update, something breaks. Settings have to be re-entered, logins, presets. Stop with this goddam sh*t.
I want to listen to the radio, not troubleshoot it ffs.

Do us all a favor and return the device and buy your self an FM Radio.
You'll be better off and we don't have to listen to your insults.
Just some advice, if you want people to help then speak nicely.Vote for "Nap feature": http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=14208

If you hold down the home button when prompted for an update it'll avoid you having to pull it down and bring you back to your homepage. Not ideal, but perhaps better?
Also, unless you run the nightly SW builds, you should rarely be prompted to do a firmware update. What version of the SW do you run?

Not even then I have not reentered a setting even thou a have done all upgrades to my radio . I'm running the 7.6 beta
May I suggest the official forum for complains (in adult language) instead of womit bile all over a peer to peer end user forum, that does wonders for the mood on this normally nice forum.

Its NOT an OTA Radio
What a nice first post! Way to gain some friends and some quality help. This IS the Squeezebox Users Community Forum. This is NOT Tech Support, NOT the Logitech Complaint line, or anything Logitech Official (other then they provide us users a place to interact and help each other). Didn't you read the Forum rules before becoming a Forum Member and then violating or pushing the limit of those rules you agreed to?
The Logitech Squeezebox Radio is NOT a radio, it is a Network Media Player. It can NOT pick up signals OTA, it must be connected to an SBS Server locally or the Internet to MySB.com. This requires firmware and software. It just can't be a box full of electronic parts with an On/Off switch.iPhone

I could be wrong, but I'm won't be holding my breath for the OP logging back in any time soon.
Yet another insulting thread that will probably run for far longer than it should, only for the OP to never comment again.

IPhone go away you smell like a fanboy.
If the product behaved more like an OTA radio, then I would buy 6 for my mother sisters nieces and nephews, all of whom are plagued by bad reception or AM noise.
You think because something needs firmware, there has got to be a constant stream of patches?? Wrong, there has got to be a constant stream of software testing. Maybe they should take 90 percent of coders and put them on software test, and save 10 percent for new features.
Just prior to the update, all the state information necessary for the radio to operate exists. If you do an update and try to use the radio without some pc on the network running squeezebox server, it becomes useless.
Except maybe for LINE IN.
Its redekulous to have to keep a PC running just to update the radio. What a joke.
Anyhow Apple is going to start streaming music soon and they wont make the mistakes Logitech has. Perhaps they will make a tabletop radio that most people can use.

Hi RadioListener, you didn't say yet, what setting was deleted. Maybe you take that piece of information and contact official support ?
If there is anyone with (at least a bit of) influence on the dev team, then I guess it's the support, (hopefully) tracking errors and customer satisfaction, due to different types of bugs.
I agree that the Radio should behave like you expect - I.e. just better after a firmware update and not worse.
So let's use the channels that make sense in this regard.
Oh and please stop to be insulting, that doesn't help at all.Did you know: SqueezePlayer will stream all your music to your Android device. Take your music everywhere!
Remote Control + Streaming to your iPad? Squeezebox + iPad = SqueezePad
Want to see a Weather Forecast on your Radio/Touch/Controller ? => why not try my Weather Forecast Applet
Want to use the Headphones with your Controller ? => why not try my Headphone Switcher Applet
