IR Blaster problem following upgrade to 7.5.1

I previously had IR blaster working to a squeezebox classic. However, following an upgrade to squeezebox server 7.5.1 it has stopped working. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Ir blaster but it still does not work.

When I try to access the IR Blaster settings within the relevant player it does not open the settings page.

Any help would be appreciated, I found the IR Blaster plugin invaluable for controlling a separate zone on a multi-room receiver.

    Thanks
    Yeoda

    Smile Workaround

Just in case anyone else has the same problem. I uninstalled 7.5.1 and installed 7.5.0 it now works as before. Very happy

Settings page accessible when player is off

It looks like a bug in IRBlaster (or SC 7.5.1), but simple to workaround: When the player is ON it seems that for some reason the type of player is not detected correctly, making the settings page of IRBlaster inaccessible.

Solution: turn the player off, then go to the IRBlaster settings page for your player, change settings. Your settings will work.

IR Blaster not available for Receiver in 7.5.1 nor 7.5.2 ?

    [DELETED POST]

AH SORRY. I JUST RECONNECTED MY BRAIN.
Of course it is not available for receiver... I was used to have a Classic where the receiver is now.

I've been having problems with this, too, although I didn't notice it until recently.

Previously, I had a Boom, and two Classics 3s and had been upgrading each version of SBS as they were released, eventually arriving at 7.5.2.

Yesterday, I added a Touch to my network (temporarily replacing one of my Classic 3s).

I reinstalled SBS from scratch (7.5.2), as well as the plugins I use, including IR-Blaster 5.6.1.

I know IR Blaster will not work with Touch, but now it won't work with my Classic 3 that I used to use it with, too. When I choose IR-Blaster from the Player settings menu for my Classic 3, it jumps back to the previous settings page. When I choose IR-Learning wizard, it shows "This player does not support IR-Blaster functionality."

I know IR-Blaster doesn't work with Touch. I am trying to use it with my Classic 3, which I have used the plugin successfully with before.

If this is a version-related problem, my previous install must have survived the upgrades. It's only showing up now that I've done a clean install of SBS 7.5.2 (and 7.5.1).

As a previous poster mentioned, maybe I'll try 7.5.0.

Re-installed 7.5.0 from scratch -- IR Blaster worked
Upgraded 7.5.0 to 7.5.2 -- IR Blaster continued to work

So my problem seems related to installing 7.5.1 or 7.5.2 from scratch.

I'm having the same issues, but the workarounds aren't doing it for me. I was originally at 7.5.0, so it wasn't a 7.5.2 fresh install, and turning the player off isn't working for me either. Anybody have any fresh ideas?

Nope... but I do know that even before I upgraded to 7.5.3, the config pages stopped working for me on the same install that I previously mentioned was working.

The plugin itself still works fine as configured back when I was able to, I just can't change the config via the Settings pages because they don't work properly.

The settings page doesn't appear first time on Default GUI interface, seems to be a weird bug.

Try switching to the Fishbone interface to adjust the settings.

Odd thing is that once you've used the Fishbone page the Default one seems to work.......

Yep, both of the things you suggested worked -- I was able to configure it using Fishbone, and then able to get it working after switching back to the Default skin. Thanks!
