How to make squeezebox sound loud?

    Hi,

I tried to connect my squeezebox boom with my home studio system. I found the volume was really low, I had to turn the receiver in a very high level.
Is there any better way to output music to the receiver other than that sub 3.5mm plugs?

    Receiver Denon 3801
    speaker. klipsch klf 20 and c7 ...

From (very vague) recollection: Isn't there an option somewhere to configure the 3.5mm jack output to be used for either sub or headphones - i.e. limited vs. full-range output?

Sorry, I am not quite follow here. You mean I could choose the output format in the setting of the squeezebox?

Yes, you can select line out to be subwoofer or headphone. But do yourself a favor and buy a SB TOUCH. This is much more suitable for driving your primary stereo.

Tell us, please, about the "audio" settings for each player.

By default the line-in level is set at 50%. Go to Settings - Player - Audio on the web UI and change the line-in level.
You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
