Configuration (all wireless):

- D-Link DSL-2730B router:
wireless channel: Auto Scan - currently using 11
802.11 mode: 802.11 B/G/N mixed
Security: WPA2 only
Firmware: AU_1.01

- DWA-125 network adapter (USB)
Signal strength: Excellent
Speed: 135 Mbps
- PC Pentium 4, 2.53Ghz, 1Gb
- Windows XP SP3
- Norton Antivirus 2010, version 17.7.0.12
- Squeezebox Server v.7.5.1
- Squeezebox Receiver (Duet), firmware 65

The problem that I have is that the Squeezebox Receiver connects and disconnects from the Squeezebox Server every couple of minutes. The button on the receiver is blue most of the time, but then it is low white for a while before 'dropping' back to blue again. This all happens when in 'idle mode' with my computer turned on and the Squeezebox Server running.

Sometimes I have a good run (I can only start playing music when the button is low white) and can then play my music for 10-15 minutes (button is then bright white), but it can then also drop back to blue or low white while still playing music. When the light is blue, the Receiver tends to continue for a while (I assume using the cache) before it stops. Somehow, the connection with the Squeezebox server is not very stable.

When I run the 'Diagnostics' option on the Remote control, it tells me that it 'can't ping' my libary. Everything under Diagnostics looks fine (e.g. IP addresses, ports - all OK's). It is also able to ping 'mysqueezebox.com'.

What could it be? How can I make the connection (Squeezebox Server) reliable and strong so that I can just play my music?

I have also noticed - when checking the firewall setting in XP - that under the exceptions tab, there are quite a few Squeezebox entries. Especially: Squeezebox Server tcp (UI), the range goes from 9000-9010, 9090, 9100 and 10000. I thought that I only needed 3 entries as per the user manual.

Only other devices on my network are my Blackberry Bold 9700 from time to time and my Philips Skype phone.

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.
