The only interesting thing in there are the 'doesn't exist on disk - skipping!' messages for
clientplaylist_0004201e6ace.m3u and
Kings%20of%20Leon/Radioactive%20-%20Single/01%20Radioactive.m4v

So your server might not be able to access the files you are trying to play?
I suggest to do a full rescan of your library and then see if you are still having trouble.

Hi Stefan,

I have completed a full rescan but the problem still occurs within 2 or 3 songs.

I can't seem to post all of the log as firstly it was too long and then there were more pictures in it (inadvertent Smilies i guess) than allowed. Can I upload it in some other way?

I don't get this problem when I am using the boom,only the iPad in the Squeezepad App.

Could you please try to be a bit more specific about the songs that are in your playlist (file-type and order in the playlist) when you write me.
Did you load one of your playlists when doing the tests or did you build up a playlist from scratch?
Is it always the same tunes in the playlist that make problems? Are these files DRM protected?

Sorry for the delay again, I work away so I'm not always near my MacBook at the right time!

I rescanned all music and it is still happening. I am using a playlist defined in iTunes (I've tried a few of them and the results are the same).

I have been testing it this morning and it failed 4 or 5 times in about an hour.

As for the songs, the playlists I ried this morning were all MP3 files without DRM. It's not the same songs, it could be any song. I didn't quite understand what you meant by the order. The playlist is playing shuffled.

There aren't many entries on the log for today:

Hi Peter,

I'm afraid I don't know what is going on there (and I'm also not aware of anyone else having such problems).
I still suspect one of the songs is making trouble. You said you are playing a shuffled playlist, which makes finding the cause a bit more difficult I guess.

Could you please test one of your playlists multiple times (without shuffling).
Does the error always come with the same song, when you try the same playlist (unshuffled) multiple times?

So...as my title says, have you ever considered an Artist Screensaver for Squeezepad, when it's playing a particular Artist?

I know your App can easily access Google images of a given Artist, but have no idea how difficult it would be to have Squeezepad display a slide show of these images while playing.

Again thanx for making this great App and thought that I'd send this idea your way as I'm sure others might also use this feature if it were available.

some time ago I did a poll and asked if there was interest in additional screensavers (at that time I had other types of screensavers in my mind though).
It didn't get a very high count of voters.

Hi Stephan, something that I quite miss is the track bit information, ie 16/44, 24/96, etc... Flax, mp3, AAC, etc... Would be nice to have that displayed in small letters, next to the album artwork... The linn app does it very well..

Why do you need track bit information available all the time?

My personal opinion regarding this issue is:
a) either one is non-audiophile and just doesn't care (like me)
b) or one does care - but then you should be able to hear the differences anyway and don't need it in the display, do you?

OK - this is is a little bit overdramatized, but I'm really interested to know, why someone would need this information all the time while he is listening to the music.
(By the way: via the context menu these informations are available, if one needs them from time to time).
