I had to restart SS to take the updated DNS qnap setting. That fixed it.

I hope you hadn't removed your original post, I'm having the same kind of a problem.

I can login to mysqueezebox.com via web browser with no problems but if I try to input my account details to a) Squeezebox control panel -> account OR b)squeezebox server settings via web interface, its a no go.

Through control panel its says it can't validate my account, check internet , connection (which is fine as far as I know, shouldn't be any firewall blocking anything).

Through web interface it says wrong username or password.

I don't know if it's related but I also can't seem to add an additional repository (the spotify plugin) to plugin repo's, it says the ip address cannot be resolved.

Internet radios and playing music through my squeezebox server located at my home computer works fine (though a bit confusing that I cant always get to internet radios etc, the library switching is somehow messed up :/ )

    Any help?

Make sure the server your Squeezebox Server (SS) is running on can use DNS. If so, restart SS. Now is your problem gone?

    Hi,

Thanks for your advice though I was maybe a bit unclear on my original post. The server software is running on my pc and everything else is working fine. I've been trying all sorts of things but nothing seems to help, this is getting quite weird.

    To clarify do you mean:
Control Panel > Diagnostics = ports & pings don't say OK?
... if these do not all say OK then something is blocking SBS

When you say "web interface says wrong ID or password" do you mean SBS > Settings > MySqueezeBox.com > login ID = invalid?
... if so this is likely a result of the above blocking issue, if these ports are blocked then SBS cannot see the internet therefore SBS cannot see MySqueezeBox.com
SBS cannot validate your online MySqueezeBox.com account if it cannot see MySqueezeBox.com.

Most common causes of this are antivirus or firewalls or another program using the same ports (port 9000 is a common default port for many media server applications).
Try temporarily disabling antivirus and firewalls, stop ALL other programs running on the PC, check router settings (like firewall), restart SBS.

What does the SS Log state for the time period when you attempt to enter your mysqueezebox.com login in the SS Web Interface?

SBS will not accept my login either

    Hi

I'm sorry to jump in, but I am having the exact same problem and I hope I can share it with you to see if it helps move this issue along. I can log into mysqueezebox.com fine, so I know my credentials are OK, but I can't log in through the SBS interface.

I am using a QNAP (TS-239, F/w 3.3.1 0702T with SSOTS 4.9.1) and SBS 7.5.1 on the QNAP. I have ports 80, 443, 8080, 3483, and 9000 open (TCP & UDP) on my (Draytek) router to the QNAP. The QNAP is assigned a fixed IP address by the router and shows the correct LAN address in its network information and also shows up on the router's DHCP table fine.

I have tried multiple power cycles of the QNAP, multiple start/stops of SBS, and I have just completed a complete factory reset of my router and assigned the QNAP a new fixed address, all without any success.

This is the SBS log I get when I stop and start SS:

    0502: [10-08-08 13:40:08 ] ssctrl SqueezeboxServer started.

I also get the following bad repository messages in the SBS settings/Plugins web browser:

Bad repository http://www.mysqueezebox.com/public/plugins/logitech.xml - Connect timed out: Transport endpoint is not connected
Bad repository http://www.mysqueezebox.com/public/p...repository.xml - Connect timed out: Transport endpoint is not connected

I couldn't get any help on the QNAP forum, which is usually very helpful, so I am hoping that someone here more knowledgeable than I am can help.

They all say OK, both Squeezebox Server field and the mysqueezebox.com field.

When you say "web interface says wrong ID or password" do you mean SBS > Settings > MySqueezeBox.com > login ID = invalid?

SBS cannot validate your online MySqueezeBox.com account if it cannot see MySqueezeBox.com.
I mean when I click on the SBS tray icon to go to web control (dunno the exact english term, I'm using finnish language settings). Its the second from the top of the list.

Actually I also use PS3 Media Server and it has caused problems before too when I had a network disk connected with a media server running in it too. But 80% of the time I've tried to get this problem solved PS3 Media Server has NOT been running :/

When I bought my Touch, I first tried it at my friends house, did my mysqueezebox.com account there and connected all to a working fine -state there, could this interfere / mess things up some how?
