Receiver won't factory reset

The only thing I can find are these pictures of the inside of the receiver. One of the pictures does show the wireless card.

I've also experienced the receiver not connecting to the network and the controller failing to connect to LMS on a few occasions lately. I assumed it was a beta bug as I'm running 7.8. Factory resets fail with the receiver stuck on yellow. The only way I could fix it was to point the controller to software update and select the 7.7 via SB.com. It updates and then everything connects as it should (and then immediately prompts to upgrade to 7.8).
