Trying to run Bounce screensaver in Squeezeplay

    Hello,

I have installed Squeezeplay on my Mac and I'm trying to run the Bounce screensaver applet. I have installed the 4 files (BounceApplet.lua, BounceMeta, squeezebox.png and strings.txt) in /Library/Preferences/SqueezePlay/userpath but the screensaver does not start...

Please, can you help me? Thank you!

    Thank you for your answer.
That means that there is no possibility, even manually, to install an applet under Squeezeplay and run it?

No - I just wanted to point out that the Bounce applet currently has a bug and isn't running.

The Bounce applet also is installed by default on SqueezePlay. On Windows on the 'lua\applets' path, don't now the directory layout on the Mac.
But just search for it and put your own applets in the same directory for testing.

On my Mac, the settings files of Squeezeplay are installed in Library/Preferences/SqueezePlay/userpath/setting. So, I have tried to install the files of Daylight clock screensaver applet in that folder but the applet is not displayed in the list of screensavers... I have also tried Library/Preferences/SqueezePlay/userpath but same result, applet not displayed in the list of screensavers in Squeezeplay...

I don't know exactly where they are installed on Mac, but can't you just install them through the Settings/Advanced/Applet Installer menu ?

I suspect they are installed together with the SqueezePlay software and not together with its settings, but I'm not sure if anyone has changed that.

Why are you looking in the directory of the settings ?
Applets go to the program-installation directory.

Did you search for "Bounce" or "AlarmSnoozeApplet" in the SqueezePlay-Install-Directory ? Thats where all applets (including your own or others) go.

When I choose Settings/Advanced/Applet Installer in Squeezeplay, nothing appens. I think there is a problem with the applet installer...

I have tried Library/Preferences/SqueezePlay/userpath based on the info on that page:
    http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/SqueezePlay

I have tried Library/Preferences/SqueezePlay/userpath/setting to have a try

There is no specific installation folder for Squeezeplay, only a file (SqueezePlay.app) that you can install manually in the folder of your choice (no other files like Bounce.lua or AlarmSnoozeApplet.lua). If I store the applet files in the same directory, same problem.

    I'm afraid I can't help with a Mac then
On windows you have a folder structure in the install-dir where you can put all the stuff.
