Which version of the plugin? Try setting the password again - go to the settings page and just add your password then press apply. What appears in the helper app log?

    Strange error

    Hi,

Has any experienced the error below? I am running the plugin on a Windows 7 machine using 7.6.1.

Nothing will play and I am not sure what to do about it! Everything else on the server works fine.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks
    Marc

What is the plugin: iTunesUpdate? It's not the built in iTunes plugin, can you try disabling it - may need the author to update it?

You are right and I stupidly hadn't noticed that. Trouble is now it has become really weird.

After having disabled that plugin Spotify still won't play (seems to play for 10-14 seconds then stops) but there is nothing in the server log.

What have I mucked up and what steps can I take to sort this? It's annoying!

    Thanks
    Marc

OK I put "Debug Streaming" on in the app settings and see the following output. Is there something wrong at the beginning there where it says "failed"? It seems to log in fine, displays all my Starred Tracks just fine, it's just playing stuff that doesn't work.....

Try checking your firewall - there are no playing details here which indicates the player can't connect to the helper app

Firewall is on but allowing Squeezebox through. Am I missing something?

Is it allowing squeezebox through to the helper app (different port than normal playback - as set on the setting page)

I'm using 2.1.0. I know there is a 2.1.4 but my Squeezebox doesn't seem to want to upgrade (how can I do it manually, if needed?).

Also, when I try to save my password through the settings-page, it hangs. Doesn't seem to save. If I change other settings for the spotify plugin it saves perfectly.

I'm still baffled as to why I get error 410 from Spotify...

2.0.4 is a downgrade (to the old spotify library). What does the helper app log say when you try to set the password?
