    Smile The 2.0.1 works great

The new Spotify 2.0.1 works great for me.
I am running the server on a Windows Home Server 64bit - and have two Duets and one Radio.
Again thanks for a superb plug-in which is in use every day.
Fist reaction to the library function is that it is a very good idea. I have been using the "Recent Album" a lot - but I think the library will work very well as well. But I will give more feedback after more real life use.

This is going to Spotify, selecting Top 100 and trying to play a couple tracks.

    Great update

Thanks a lot Triode, again you made this plug-in to one of my favourites. I'm running it on Vortexbox with Squeezebox, Squeezepad and Boom. The library and friends sections are great add-on's!

There are no entries in the log related to playback. This normally means you have a firewall between the player and helper app which prevents the players connecting to the helper app.

Thank you for your help - I ended up running Squeezebox server from the command line, and even though I had Windows firewall OFF, it was still processing program-specific rules....A firewall message popped up for spotifyd, I allowed it, and now all is well.

Thanks again - the sound from the Ogg Spotify Stream is outstanding - I may be cancelling Rhapsody.

    Thumbs up Yes, thanks!!

Yes Triode, thanks for this great plugin for Spotify. It really makes searching and saving albums very easy and complete, something that is lacking in the original Spotify app V1.0.

Agree - the library is a stroke of genius for those of us who doesn't use spotify in a very playlistcentric way. Great stuff.

The new version has significant internal changes to make better use of the new features of 7.6 it also adds several new features:
    - new context menus specific to the spotify plugin
    - spotify playlist editing (via the context menu – ability to add tracks or all tracks in an album to a an existing playlist or create a new playlist with them)
    - local spotify “library” – ability to store artists/albums/tracks in a local “library” menu which allows bookmarking and browsing of favourite entries – this is an experiment, interested in feedback on it. Tracks/albums/artists are added from the context menus.
    - spotify inbox added playlist menu
    - browse playlists of “friends” from with the playlist menu – those people marked as people in the PC spotify application (you need to add friends on the PC app as there is no api to do this)
    - simplified search menu which allows searching for any tracks/albums/artists or pasting in spotify uris into a single search menu item

The new version should work with 7.6 and 7.5 releases of squeezebox server.

Please update and post feedback here.
    Triode,

Still running on 7.5.4 , Synology hasn't provided an update on their site yet. Anyway, about your latest version 2.01: doesn't seem to work on my Duet handheld (turning wheel for ever) also seem to miss the possibility to "Love Last.fm" a song.

    Hope this helps for feedback.

    Thnx!

All search and URI options are now available via the single search box - you can paste URIs and any search request in there.

I can't comment on the controller issue - which menu is this on and does it happen if you reboot the controller.
