Does anyone have an armv6 based NAS which has linux with glibc 2.4 or later? I have the helper app running on this with the new spotify library. I don't have a NAS so I am running it on a Squeezebox Touch!
If anyone with such a NAS and good knowledge of putting code on it could PM me with an email address, I will send them a file to test.
Unfortunately I can't get the armv5t version to work at present. I'm not sure quite what is wrong with it.

Finally there is hope!
At last it's here!!! Now with a bit of Triode magic, maybe the all-in-one SB + Spotify dream can come true.
Based on the posts here, it seems as if most NASs are based on either ARMADA 300 (88F6282) or ARMADA 310 (88F6283) which are all ARMv5TE compliant. Applicable for TS-X19 and the new TS-X19P+ series.

Thanks!

Is glibc 2.4 likely to be a requirement for ARM platforms or will you be able to cross-compile against an earlier version (it seems this was possible recently for the standard Linux version)?
I checked my LinkStation setup last night and it looks like it's running glibc 2.3.6, so I think a lot of armv5 NAS owners may be in the same boat.

Just to confirm another NAS - my Synology DS210J has a ARMv5TE core... very much looking forward to this working - when will there be something I can play with?
Thanks for all the work ...Main system: SB Touch, Arcam A85, Mission 733i speakers

Now I've tried installing Squeezebox Server from scratch on my Macbook Pro and installing your plugin. Same problem as yesterday. Everything loads for a while and then i get timeout.
Uploaded a new log from the new SB server;

Help is strongly needed.

It may be worth having a word with flipflip (the author of SSODS) as it looks like libc 2.6 may be included as part of that (in /opt/ssods4/lib).
In a worst case scenario, maybe you might be able to hang any potential NAS-specific armv5-based plugin off that framework for those who use it?Last edited by madfuzzy; 2011-02-15 at 13:13.

I'm running QNAP TS-119P+ NAS which has glibc 2.5. Not too familiar with putting code on Linux but happy to help if possible.
/M
[/] # ldd --version
ldd (GNU libc) 2.5
