Yes as long as you run a local squeezebox server on an intel based machine - please see post #1.

Just bought squeeze commander for my android phone and the combination with the spotify plugin is fantastic ! Don't think I'll use the spotify application for anything more than browsing now !

Actually I should have answered less quickly - its already supported!

If you enable "advanced search" from the settings page, then this adds an advanced search option to the web menu and also a "Spotify URI" menu item which you should be able to use to paste artist/album/track/playlist uris into.

Great plugin! Thanks a lot. When I enable "advanced search" I can use that option in the squeezebox server web client, but not in iPeng. Will it be available in iPeng as well?

Well its explicitly excluded from the non web interfaces as I didn't think people would want to enter complex searches into those. Would be good to get feedback from people as to whether they want this on non web interfaces.

Do you have address filtering on on your squeezebox server - this is the normal cause of the cli connection being closed early. Suggest you look at the main server log too.

What is happening is that the server has closed the cli connection without returning any response. This means the server does not want to talk to the helper app and is usually due to some of the security settings you may have set on the server.

I just wanted to say I finally got it working and the solution was to change the Helper port to a great number... I did read awhile back where people were saying 9001 seems to be taken but I never changed till now...

Running on 9020.

OK - will look at this (or making it an option). Issue will be that if its available for iPeng then it will also be on Touch/Radio UIs which does not make much sense to me - so will probably consider it as an option.
