I just uninstalled the Spotify plugin and reinstalled it and now it's working again. I don't know if this helps but thanks for taking time to consider problems.

Addictive!
A few random questions...
* If I copy a Spotify URI (like spotify:album:1223HNo18fRbvEKxMgiSa7 ), say from FB, how do I enter it into the web interface?
* If I search for a Swedish composer like "ted gärdestad" in the web interface, I get an Internal Error in return. Can I avoid that?
* If I try to play two different songs on two different squeezeboxes, one of them stops. I guess that is all according to the license terms. Is there a discussion somewhere about changing that? Spotify Family license? Can the plugin handle concurrent use, should it become available?
Thanks!

There is no direct support for this at present I'm afraid, I only implemented this for playlists. Is this important to you?
This is a bug with squeezebox server which I can't fix in the plugin - I have raised a bug and hope it will be fixed in 7.6, but I can't work around it at the moment. It means that searches for non ascii characters don't work.* If I search for a Swedish composer like "ted gärdestad" in the web interface, I get an Internal Error in return. Can I avoid that?
Yes this is a spotify licensing limitation. The best that is supported today is synchronised playback of one stream across multiple players.* If I try to play two different songs on two different squeezeboxes, one of them stops. Don't know. I guess I'd use it a few times a month. Just thought it was an obvious feature and I was too stupid to find it.
Dang! Good thing it's already reported though. This is a bug with squeezebox server which I can't fix in the plugin - I have raised a bug and hope it will be fixed in 7.6, but I can't work around it at the moment. It means that searches for non ascii characters don't work.
Synchronized playback is a nice feature!Yes this is a spotify licensing limitation. The best that is supported today is synchronised playback of one stream across multiple players.
Anyway, I was thinking of letting the kids use spotify on the squeezeboxes, but I'll go nuts if my squeezebox goes mute when they start playing.
Thanks for the info!

As of this morning I get a 'Spotify Error: General transient error' on all browse actions. Searching still works. I tried starting/stopping SBS, rebooting the server, reinstalling the plugin. Relevant server log:

Actually I should have answered less quickly - its already supported!
If you enable "advanced search" from the settings page, then this adds an advanced search option to the web menu and also a "Spotify URI" menu item which you should be able to use to paste artist/album/track/playlist uris into.
