How are you closing down the server, if squeezebox server is shutdown then is should save this before it exits. I wonder if closing down you pc is bypassing this?

Also, if I create a spotify playlist on my PC using the 'normal' spotify application I had hoped that the palylist would have appeared on my Squeezebox. This is not happening.
Don't understand this one - it should be available in the squeezebox menus, but it has been known to take some time to become available after you create a new playlist.

    Hi,

Thanks for the quick response - normally I reboot just using the Restart option (using Vista). In between that the server will go to sleep and be woken by the Squeezebox.

Maybe I was too quick about the Playlists - I've only actually done 1 and have just checked (having arrived home from work) and it's now appeared!!

Also looked at the Recent Artists and Albums and both are still empty despite me listening to at least one album last night. I don't actually remember rebooting since then but it has certainly been in sleep mode. To be fair, it's hardly an issue in the scheme of things - but if I need to do something differently then I can!

    Cheers

    Andrew

Looking for feedback from other users here - do you see the expected artists/albums in the recent menus, or do you find that some times they are not saved? (I only save them when the server is shutdown properly at present - I am not sure if this occurs in all cases as it does not sound like it is doing so here?)

Yes that's right. Have read this earlier. I am just annoyed that at precent there is no qnap 1-bay with intel processer! Thus I can't run Spotify with the gear i currently have!

    Cannot request non-HTTP URL

    Cannot request non-HTTP URL spotify:track:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx....

This error message comes up whenever I attempt to use the + button on my controller to access the context menu on a song within a user-defined playlist. If I have searched for music or am looking at What's New etc. the context menu behaves normally.

The context menu also behaves correctly when used within the Now Playing song list.

Curiously with Squeezecommander on my Android phone the equivalent context menu comes up normally. Once the selection (Play, Add etc.) has been made the error message appears after a short delay, but not before the desired action has been successfuly carried out.

Have I explained myself clearly enough??

    Cheers

    Keith

This seemed very plausible, until I had a similar thing happen today, without involving the web browser at all.

Using the remote, I selected Spotify "What's new" and elected to play "The Final Frontier" by "Iron Maiden." Not long after pressing Play, a friend called from the pub, so I went, leaving it playing, and sunk a few pints. Coming home, I grabbed the remote, "Now Playing", pressed left for the album rather than the last track, and pressed play. Out of my speakers came a Leonard Cohen cover.

Is this for a Squeezeplay based player or remote (controller, touch, radio) - these have a similar session cache which lasts an hour. Looks from this debug that it has performed a "what's new" search when you got back - did you do this or was it caused by the remote?

No, it's a Squeezebox3. I'm pretty sure all I did was press Left and then Play.

    Hi,

Thank you Triode for your great plugin !

Many people ask you if your plugin works with NAS ...

It would be great to list NAS compatible and not compatible

    NOT COMPATIBLE :
    - Synology DS409Slim (not Intel)

    COMPATIBLE :
    - ?

If compatible, how to make the plugin working

Thanks a lot for your help

Unable to hear Spotify at localhost:9000/stream.mp3

First and foremost Triode: _amazing_ work on the plugin. I'm streaming Spotify to my SB Radio, and loving every minute of it.

Now I'd like to synchronize this stream with other music players I have in the house using SB Server's localhost:9000/stream.mp3 option. (e.g., Roku, a few mobile devices)

SB server properly recognizes these devices when I start streaming. And I can stream locally stored music files, as well as non-Spotify internet radio.

But alas, streaming Spotify through /stream.mp3 doesn't work. Is this because of the "only hardware players" issue I've read about on this thread?

If so, I guess I'd need to purchase another SB device to stream Spotify, through SB Server, to multiple rooms (?). Thanks for your time.

** fwiw I'm running Squeezecenter 7.5.1 for Windows Home Server.
