Many thanks for this wonderful plugin. I am having just one minor problem: the Show In My Apps setting does not seem to be working for me at the moment.

I want Spotify to show up in the Radio menu rather than the My Apps menu. So I untick the Show in My Apps setting and restart LMS - but after the restart Spotify is still in the My Apps menu and the Show in My Apps setting is ticked again. I have tried repeated changes and restarts but no joy.

Not sure when this stopped working for me. For a long time all was OK with Spotify in the Radio menu, but I recently updated to 7.8 from 7.7.2 and since then have been unable to move it back - I have even done a clean install back to 7.7.2, but the problem with the setting always ticking itself after a restart and Spotify staying in the My Apps menu remains.

This has been asked by matross about a year ago but not responded to, so I figured I check in with the gurus to see if anyone might have figured out a way to do this since it was last asked.

I am running squeezelite/squeezeslave on my work computer (Linux). I have ssh tunneling/port forwarding ports 3483, 9000, and 9005 on my work computer to my Linux Mint 14 Squeezebox/LMS server on my internal home LAN, which has a NAT address 192.168.1.10. My home router port forwards SSH connection to my LMS box.

It works great for Internet radio and music streaming. Tried it with spotify and looks like the spotifyd process is trying to use the NAT address of my LMS to connect to the spotify stream. Obviously this will not work external to my home LAN. Anybody know of a trick to get around this?

Thanks in advance - great work on Squeezebox, LMS, squeezelite, squeezeslave. I enjoy them immensely. Would love to hear if anyone has gotten this scenario to work.

Hi Triode,

I replaced your Spotify plugin with version 2.2.9 of 9/2012 now on my QNAP TS-119 NAS running SBS "Version: 7.5.1 - r30836 @ Tue Jun 1 06:59:24 MDT 2010". With that version of the plugin all is fine again. So really the most recent version looks incompatible with SBS 7.5.1 to me.
