I'm not being very helpful here (!) but I'm having the same trouble as a number of other posters ie when accessing Spotify playlists nothing happens and then the program crashes and the helper app stops running. Prior to a couple of days a go it was working a charm.

When I set it to Debug Streaming it suddenly changed to running! But 5-10 sec thereafter it changed to Helper App: Not Running

Is that after changing the debug level? As it says there is an error with the address already in use have you tried restarting the machine? (I am not sure whether spotifyd is running more than once?)

I'm not being very helpful here (!) but I'm having the same trouble as a number of other posters ie when accessing Spotify playlists nothing happens and then the program crashes and the helper app stops running. Prior to a couple of days a go it was working a charm.

I'm still waiting for someone to say exactly when it crashes - which menu is this on and what does the spotifyd log show...?

There has been no update to libspotify so I am working on the basis that it is still intended to work with spoitfy servers. This should be independant of the desktop spoitfy application.

Apart from this: the new spotify client messed up my playlists (in a way I did not understand) - and those messed up playlist were synced, causing problems with the iPhone app as well as with the SB plugin. But as said: it was solved with a few restarts, a reinstall and a bit of patience :-)
