I was wondering if anyone has another way to get WABC? I was listening around 5:00 yesterday and I was able to hear it fine. I tried to tune in around 9:00 and it was gone. I receive an error message that states "No items found...I have searched and it appears to be gone. I entered http://player.streamtheworld.com/_pl...d=826&nid=2920 but that does not work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Try this. Go to http://radiotime.com/. This is the provider of the streams that the Radio (mysqueezebox.com) uses. Search for your station. Click on the button "Tell us to fix it" which will take you to a dialogue box to describe the problem. They seem to respond very quickly.
I have had to report similar problems with the the C-SPAN 1 audio stream and they fixed it right away.
You may want to install the Radio Time app to add other stations which may not be listed under the Internet Radio subject headings.
Hope this works for you.

I have this URL working as a favorite:
http://5203.live.streamtheworld.com/WABCAMAACCMP3
Unfortunately, it only works for me in using SqueezeboxServer and not with mysqueezebox.com. I assume this is because it is an AACplus stream that requires transcoding and my transporter/sb3/duet/boom can't natively play this. It does stream just fine on my TOUCH via mysb.com.

Requested Fix
I sent a request to radiotime.com regarding the WABC issue. Their reply back to me was that they switched to an AAC stream, which is not supported by my radio. I added the URL in sandymc's post and it worked. Which is it, Squeezebox radio can play AAC streams or not?

I belive that Radios can play AAC natively. And if you're saying this worked, then this is true. I know it played on my TOUCH as well. But older SB's (boom, SB3, transporter, duet) do NOT play AAC natively, so the link won't work for those UNLESS you are accessing via SbS on your own computer. Then SbS does the transcoding you need.

WABC works on squeezebox radio, not on squeezebox boom
I have the same problem, WABC works on squeezebox radio, not on squeezebox boom. Does anyone know if the software in the Boom upgradeable to play the new streams WABC is now using?
