    Favorite DMP Artists & CDs

DMP is a label that has brought me many hours of listening pleasure. So I was wondering (since I don't own their whole catalog), if anybody else has a favorite DMP Artist and what CDs you like from that artist and why? Also if there is an all time favorite DMP CD?

I was first exposed to DMP through a high end car audio shop that put Tricycle by Flim & the BB's in my newly installed Alpine CD head unit to demo the upgraded system they had just installed in my car. I have been listening to them ever since.

    DMP artists

Amongst many of the DMP Flim & the BB's 'Neon' and 'Big Pants' (not sure if the latter is DMP, I have Joe Beck 'relaxin', Jay Leonhart's 'salamander pie' (also on vinyl). Both of these are laid back, bordering on smooth jazz. Possibly others.

And you know, I have not ripped a single one of these -- best get on with it!

    Cheers!

    I've got 6 Flim CD's and I could swear some others but I can't remember the artist(s.)

OK, do you mean "Big Notes" or "New Pants" when you listed 'Big Pants'? "New Pants" and "This is a Recording" were both on Warner and the last two CDs from Flim and the BB's.

'Tricycle', 'Tunnel', 'Big Notes', 'Neon', and 'The Further Adventures of Flim & the BB's' in that order were on DMP as was the greatest hits 'Vintage BB's'.

I have quite a few collections on DMP Artists and CDs. But I would say that this is up to everybody’s liking. But these are my favorite of all times. Here is the list. Joe Beck – Friends, DMP Big Band – Carved In stone, Stockholm Jazz – Orchestra, Andy Laverne – Liquid Silver, Film & The B B’s – Neon, Further Adventures, The Dolphins – Old World New world. There are quite a number more in my collections, but here are the few that I listen to the most.
