    Duet "Odd Actions"

    Good Morning,
I run three SB3s, a Touch and a Duet. Working on the latest Windows Home Server "add-in" build 7.5.r8673
I have no problems with all of the equipment, except that now the controller requires multiple presses of the 'home/on' button to switch the unit on and has now "lost" the boot up and close down music and this is coupled with the controller screen shutting down very quickly after boot-up, almost as though the battery is flat, although the indicator shows it is fully charged. This is before the receiver is switched on, by the controller.
I have a spare battery and this has been installed and still the same applies.
Has the latest build for the Duet, removed the background music and altered settings for the screen.
I am not interested in the music as such, but it was the first indicator that something had "changed" without me actually altering any settings and the same applies to the screen shutdown and the on/off button.
The scroll wheel sounds are still there, whether the screen has shut down or is showing the menu.
All of the above has occurred since the update to 7.5. In other respects the Duet is working.
Has anyone any ideas, or am I into a factory reset?

I have the same problem with my controller since the upgrade to firmware 7.5.
Because I has disabled background sound I cannot say anything to this.
But I also have to press the home/on button mupltiple sometimes to switch on. I thought the battery is empty but the indicator shows full charge.

    Duet "Odd Actions"

    Hi
Thanks for your input. I thought I had done something wrong at first, as quite frankly I have had little or no trouble with my set-up. The Duet Controller was always first push on, boot-up music etc and away we go. Now it may be 5 or 6 times to start, then the silent boot-up onto the activity screen, which then promptly disappears as quick as it started.
The odd thing is there is nothing showing on the screen, but the scan wheel noises are still present.
The screen then comes back, stays for a few seconds and then disappears again.
All these actions are not the normal operation I have become familiar with. If I am lucky I can get the screen on to actually either start the receiver or close it down.
I have changed the battery to my spare and I have also used the battery from my Harmony 1000, all with the same result, so it must be something in the Controller.

    Smile End Game!

    Hi,
During the day, the situation got worse, so it became inevitable that I would have to carry out a factory reset.
Fortunately, this was the cure for all of the problems, which went on to include loss of Apps etc.
The factory reset took little time, reconnection to my network was immediate and the Apps all returned. The loss of screen was resolved and the battery has powered up for an extended period.
I can only put the problems down to the last upgrade as before that everything had been correct on the controller.
I hope this can be of use to other Duet users.

I am having very similar issues with my duet controller. I'll try your suggested fixes, hopefully your input has been VERY useful to a fellow useful, so thx for that!
