    How do you upgrade Touch

How do you upgrade Touch's internal SBS? Is it done like when the other players download a firmware or can choose to upgrade to a beta-version?

    It's included in the firmware.

You can force an upgrade to a nightly release by installing the latest nightly build of SBS on a computer and temporarily connect the Touch to it.

Without a standalone SBS, the Touch firmware will be upgraded through MySB.com and then it will only be upgraded to official releases (no beta versions).

    hello

I have a stand-alone touch, and would like to have it updated.
what is the "latest nightly build"? is it just squeezebox server, 'cause I have this running on my pc?
how do I connect touch -> pc? and how does the update start??

If all you are trying to do is make sure the TOUCH is running the latest stable firmware, just connect the touch to the source of "mysqueezebox.com". Once you do this, it should go into update firmware mode and automatically download and install the latest firmware.

I think you can also just go to SETTINGS > ADVANCED > SOFTWARE UPDATE in the TOUCH menu (on screen menu) and update the firmware.

Does the touch update its firmware once you've connected it to your pc as source running 7.6? Not sure if that also affects the tinySC? Sorry, I'm not familiar with how to update tinySC firmware. Although I recall reading that you can install firmware from the USB drive or datacard.

The firmware contains TinySC updates, so if you updated the Touch's firmware from MySB or SBS then TinySC is updated to that version.
