Apologies if this has been asked and answered, but I did not come up with anything when I searched.
I'm a brand new Boom owner and don't have any other internet radio products (yet).
When I tried to connect the Boom to my home stereo system the sound was very low from my speakers. I had to turn them up at least half again more than I would usually have them set for the radio, CD, etc. I used a cable with a headphone-type jack on the back of the Boom and a two-part, red/white input into the back of my receiver into the AUX input.
I've got the Boom set up for "Headphones" in the menu.
What am I missing? Or is it's output just not enough to match the typical inputs into my stereo?
Thanks.

*Digging into my memory*
Actually the headphone output is way higher than the amplifier needs, because it needs to drive loudspeakers. However, there's a impedance mismatch which will mess up things. A headphone has a typical impedance of 16-32 Ohm, RCA inputs are in the Kilo Ohm range.
The signal you want should be derived from the output of the Boom's pre-amp. This will require some mods, but my guess is that you don't want to disassemble it and dig into the electronics.

Try setting Boom's line out to Always On.
Try setting Boom's volume higher.
Make sure your stereo's volume is VERY low when making any such changes to the input source (Boom).
You now have two devices to adjust volume (stereo & Boom) so be careful.
