    Itunes Music not showing up

    Hello,

I would like SBS to be able to play my itunes music as well as the rest of my collection. Currently everything is working fine for non itunes music but the itunes music will not show up. I have use itunes checked, the right path set for the itunes music folder, and for the itunes xml file.

I have deleted and rescanned my entire collection and it still won't show my music from itunes. It does show that SBS scanned my itunes music on the info page:

Any help would be great. Thanks!

If you're trying to play songs you purchased on iTunes that are Copy Protected, they will not play at all. The way to tell is to open iTunes and in the main window go up to the VIEW menu and pull down to VIEW OPTIONS. Check KIND which will show you the file types in your iTunes library. Anything that says PROTECTED AAC will not play. Everything else will.

Really appreciate it Eric, that is what the problem is. Now I don't even want to purchase anymore music from itunes if I won't be able to play it through SBS. There is always some kind of snag.

    Thanks again!!!

Most (maybe all) music purchased *now* at ITUNES store does not have DRM (that is they are "purchased" but not "protected" files). They underwent a major shift on this a while back. So you're likely OK on recent purchases (you can probably test this with some of your latest purchases).

Amazon store is not quite as user friendly, but there none of the music has DRM (and is typically high rate MP3).
