I have my mp3 tracks tagged with both Volume Adjustment and Album Volume Adjustment, and have my SoftSqueeze player set to Smart Gain.
Needless to say it doesn't work - so is there some other setting I need to enable?

Help with Replay Gain

You're going to need to be more specific ... which program did you use to
calculate and apply the replaygain? Also a raw dump of the relevant tags
of a sample file would be helpful.

I didn't know that Soft Squeeze was actively supported any longer.

Maybe that's part of the problem... guess I should try SqueezePlay?

See the 3rd party section for the newest info on SoftSqueeze v3.9
Note that there is also a plug-in that puts the install process in the "Extra's" menu (as it used-to-be.) This make installation a snap compared to SqueezePlay.
