Synchronising receiver and controller

Is it possible to properly synchronise a receiver and a controller without the controller lagging behind by a couple of seconds?

I would stop short of saying "impossible", but you'd have to be very lucky to get perfect sync, or even close sync, with an SBC. The SBC was not designed to be able to sync with other players.

That's what I suspected, but I was hoping someone would say "Yes, of course, just do this....."
