Different display of squeezeServer from windows to ubuntu

    Hi,

I have squeezecenter installed in a windows and a linux machine (ubuntu).
Both are same version of squeezeserver (v 7.4.1 r28947), and to view both i'm using firefox.

The problem is that in the squeezeserver installed in windows i have a different display from the one in the ubuntu machine.

The code is the same. How can this be possible?

    Thks

How do they differ? There are skin, layout and sorting options available, so the appearance of the web interfaces on two instances of the server can differ quite a bit.

    sorry, i forgot to say.

I'm using the skin Touch, with a few changes.

The problem is that in windows when i click 'Album' in the home page i get a table with name and artwork of the albuns but if i do the same in the squeezeserver running in linux i get a list with the names of the albuns, no artwork.

    hope the images explain better:

edit: music libraries are different but have the same files (copy-paste)

don't know whether the Touch skin has the album display selector. But if you switch back to default and browse albums you can chose whether you want to see artwork or not. This setting probably is respected in Touch even though there's no such selector.

I see the display selector icon to the left of the Home icon in the Touch skin, even going back to Squeezebox Server 7.3. There's also a sort drop-down box. But neither are shown in the uploaded screen shots. Is that a customized older version of the skin?

That was the problem. Changed the settings and works great now.

the correct behavior in the albums page of the Touch skin is to render a small icon in the upper left to toggle between art and text views.

Your description has me thinking one of two things: your customized skin has diverged from the most up-to-date Touch skin code (though Touch has not changed in any way for quite some time), or a browser/CSS problem that's rendering that icon not visible.

I'd like to suggest you copy off your customized Touch skin, update to the newest SBS code, and check to see if you still see this problem in a stock release of the skin.

    cheers,
