Recently when I try to play certain songs on my squeezebox radio it will not play and it will give an error of file not found. I have verified that the file is accessible on the server and can play it on my desktop without a problem.
This is the error that is present in the Squeezebox Server log:
[10-02-11 20:52:17.0846] Slim::Networking::IO::Select::__ANON__ (146) Error: Select task failed calling Slim::Web::HTTP::sendStreamingResponse: illegal file descriptor or filehandle (either no attached file descriptor or illegal value): at /<C:\Program Files\Squeezebox\server\SqueezeSvr.exe>Slim/Networking/IO/Select.pm line 149.
; fh=Slim::Web::HTTP::ClientConn=GLOB(0x734848c)
I have tried to erase and rebuild the database but I still receive the errors. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance.
UPDATE: I have tried to uninstall the Squeezebox server and reinstall it without success. My house currently has two Squeezebox Radios. One will play the files without any problems but the other says that the file is missing with the above noted error code. I tried to reinstall the updated firmware on my Radio but I am still having issues.
SOLVED: For anyone else that may run in to this problem I found a solution that may work. On the player that was having problems the LAME encoding was set to very high. Lowering the setting to 5 eliminated the problem. My guess is that the Intel Atom CPU wasn't quick enough to transcode the file before Squeezebox was expecting it and thus reporting a file not found error.
