My question, is there a way to select several artists in a squeezebox then have them shuffle (or randomly) played?

Yes, from your own music library you can do this, but not sure if I understand your question. Do you mean select artists within Pandora and have them shuffle? I don't think pandora works that way. I can select several artists as "seeds" in pandora and it will play a mixture based on these artists and other artists that pandora thinks I will like. And yes, you can play the pandora stuff through the squeezeboxes....

The web version of Pandora lets you pick several "radio stations" to play simultaneously - and you get a mix.
I don't know a way to do this in Squeeze, other than creating yet another radio station with all the artists in the stations you would have mixed in the web version.
Maybe submit an enhancement request? Be sure to mention that it's something you can do in the web version of Pandora.

If you use the QuickMix functionality on Pandora (which sounds like what you're trying to achieve), it should show up as a station which can be selected on your Squeezebox. QuickMix documentation here:
