    I still think what you are seeing is how it is designed to work. The reason it happen more often in your library might just be because your library contains different albums than bakker_be's. If you only want to listen to the same type of music you shouldn't use SugarCube, the purpose of SugarCube is that it will not stay within the genre, it will walk away into other genres, sometimes faster and sometimes slower and there is no way to know in advance exactly where it will end up because there is a random element involved.

    As bakker_be said previously there could possibly be something wrong with the analysis MusicIP has done previously on some of your tracks, causing it to switch genre faster in your library, but it could also just be the composition of your library that are causing it. Re-ripping the albums and re-analyze them with MusicIP might be a solution but I'm personally not sure it's going to change anything.

    Ok, I'm happy to report that things have been going great and I have no idea why. Anyway, this is a new problem that just cropped up yesterday. I just added this album (Rising by Rainbow) and it's perfectly tagged and analyzed just like every other file in my library but for some reason, SC refuses to mix it. I tried re-analyzing and re-tagging, as well as having MIP rebuild the entire db it but didn't help. Any ideas?

    i would like SC would do that but it plays always the same song or band....i don't know why...it happens with some bands, if they're not so famous....i've set "not play if already played" with no luck...

    It's a known issue. I've been using Sugarcube for years now, but this annoying habit has never changed. I think I started with version 1.8...., in the meanwhile it's 4.0....., but nothing happened. The only difference is, now it costs money....

    I think cparker must know the problem, and I wonder why he doesn't fix it.

    Guys if you have issues with SugarCube please use the Spicefly forums and/or the Spicefly bug reporting system. Bitching away on these 3rd party forums complaining about a lack of support is ridiculous. Thanks

    Has the URL for the SugarCube repository changed? I'm getting a 404 error. I'm currently using SugarCube 4.35 and it appears to be working fine. I also just tried to access the Spicefly forums, but forums appear to be new and but have no content. My user id does not give me access the private area forum... if it still exist.

    The website of Spicefly SugarCube has changed.
    Spicefly has now dropped Joomla completely and has been written entirely from scratch.
    My old username and password did also not work so I have made an new registration.

    Send a mail to cparker and ask, I think he prefers that people post questions on his own forum or mail them directly to him.

    Repository link is still; http://www.spicefly.com/media/scube4x/install.xml

    Yep the site has been completely rewritten from scratch and doesn't use Joomla anymore. The forums are open to anybody you just need to register.

    New stuff so far;
    Licensing SugarCube is now fully automatic and doesn't require any manual intervention from me.
    New Ubuntu MusicIP Installation guide for installing the GUI and headless, end to end with screen pics

    More to come in 2013....

    Cheers
