Announce: Spicefly SugarCube Version 2.03 – (Automatic MusicIP DJ) for 7.x

    >I can now say, I'm still getting a lot of repeated and duplicated
    >tracks in the playlist with your modified version of the plugin.

Check the sugarcube prefs file to see what you have in the stored list of previous played tracks. You may need to manually remove them and set the tracknum to 0.

i.e. for each player, it stores info such as:
    track1: <file reference>
    track2: <file reference>
    track3: <file reference>
    track4: <file reference>
    track5: <file reference>
    tracknumber: 5

If tracknumber is greater than "sugarcube_remembertracks" preference, then it will keep storing new tracks to this list, but only look for duplicates in the first <n> tracks.

If you delete all referenced tracks and set tracknumber to 0, it should be okay.

I also noticed some oddities when I had recipe set to avoid duplicates. Try it with no recipe?

I did all of the above and it has helped but I am still getting repeated songs when the list is over 20 songs. They are not coming one right after the other like they used to, though. I also created some new filters and used a different one in each time slot, so that has also helped mix things up a bit more. It's tolerable now.

    Beginner - need advice

I've just installed MusicIP as the first step to Spicefly Sugarcube.

The downloaded Windows version from the SF website has the Archive Analysis option greyed out - is this correct?

Which Sugarcube version is installed using the SBS plugin?

    Thanks.

castalla, did you resolve your problem with the Archive Analysis option greyed out ?

I suggest a search (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...hlight=MusicIP) and a look through the threads will bring you up to speed on MIP.
Also, to start you should run the MIP GUI rather than headless.

The free version is 2.65 , but if you are using Squeezebox 7.6 with SQLite you need a later version - (http://spicefly.com/spicefly-sugarcube/roadmap.html)

Obviously you have gone through Options, what are the file types of your music ? MIP won't archive to some Apple formats, can't remember which ones though.

So in Options, Watch Folders - you have your Music Library folders and you have checked scan and then OK ?

Well, you've exhausted my remote diagnostic ability.
I would try closing MIP and restarting, then if that doesn't work, turn off and restart the computer while facing East and muttering please PIIGS fly before the market goes any further South, and if that doesn't work then re-installing MIP won't hurt.....
Maybe, somewhere in this thread >>-> http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...hlight=MusicIP , there might be some words of wisdom.
